Shortly after hearing the sad news that Katie Holmes and Tom
Cruise are splitting up, I turn to my next highly reliable source, (pun
intended) Wikipedia, to verify that this separation is indeed happening.
First, I run a Wikipedia search on Tom Cruise. He has an interesting
bio. Seems like he has overcome a lot of obstacles; drunk abusive father, poor
family, etc.
But more interestingly than that, when I run the wikipedia
search on Katie Holmes, I notice how much attention is given to Katie Holmes’
high SAT score and her 4.0 high School G.P.A.
According to Wikipedia, Katie Holmes:
“graduated from
the all-female Notre Dame Academy (also her mother's alma mater), where Katie
was a 4.0 student At St. John's Jesuit,
a nearby all-male high school, Holmes appeared in school musicals, playing a
waitress in Hello, Dolly! and Lola in Damn Yankee. She scored 1310 out of 1600 on her SAT and was accepted to Columbia University (and attended for a summer
session);[8][12]
her father wanted her to be a doctor.”
I find it amazing how Katie’s SAT scores and high school GPA
made it to Wikipedia—it’s one of the very first things you read about her.
What if your SAT
score was one of the very first things people would read when they’d read about
you on wikipedia?
Tom Cruise, Katie is a good girl. Just look at her scores. We at Kweller Prep hope that Tome Cruise
finds a way to reconcile with this high school overachiever.
