Affordable Higher Education Scholarship

American student debt is over $1 trillion. College seniors who graduated in 2010 carried an average of $25,250 in student loan debt. DoSomething.org will award a $3,000 scholarship to a student that has gone beyond being a petition signer, to being an organizer, by inviting at least 5 friends to sign the petition. No minimum GPA. No essay. Just spread awareness of the issue. You must be no more than 26 years of age and a U.S. or Canadian citizen to be considered for this award.

Supporting Animal Welfare Scholarship

Award:

$5000

Deadline:

August 15, 2012

Puppy mills are dog breeding facilities that have overcrowded and unsanitary conditions. Many puppy mills sell online, on the phone, or through the mail, because those stores are not licensed or regularly inspected for humane conditions. The USDA is now considering changing this by including more animals, especially those sold online, under the protection of the Animal Welfare Act (AWA). If the rule passes, it will help hundreds of thousands of animals around the country live better lives. DoSomething.org and its members want to make sure this happens. They ve launched a national petition in support of the USDA s proposal. By signing and sharing the petition with 5 friends, you will become eligible for a $5,000 scholarship. No minimum GPA. No essay. Just spread awareness of the issue. You must be no more than 26 years of age and a U.S. or Canadian citizen to be considered for this award.
